The Nuremberg War Trials - Quoting America
Quoting America was a news program that presented editorials and radio commentary from around America.

"The indictment of 24 top ranking Nazis was seen by the nations editors and radio commentators over the weekend as setting a world historic prescedent. The prescedent of calling to account before an international tribunal those individuals responsible for acts of agression and brutality against humanity. The Philadelphia Enquirer said 'It marks the beginning of a new concept of international justice and the first attempt to restrain the war-makers of the future by the solemn warning that they like those that did Hitler's bidding will be held accountable for their acts... The indictment needs to be read by free men everywhere. It's phrased in cold, impersonal legal language and it makes clear the many sinister ramifications of the maaster plan by which the Nazis sought world domination."

The program also discusses the new Pacific democracies emerging after WWII which were using the US Constitution as a basis for their new governments.

The Nuremberg trials were held by the Allies against representatives of the defeated Nazi Germany, for plotting and carrying out invasions of other countries, and other crimes, in World War II

The International Military Tribunal focused on the crime of aggression—plotting and waging aggressive war, which the verdict declared "the supreme international crime" because "it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole".[1] This crime had been invented by Soviet jurist Aron Trainin during the war. Most of the defendants were also charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity. Twelve further trials were conducted by the United States against lower-level perpetrators, which focused more on the Holocaust. Although controversial at the time for their use of ex post facto law, the trials' innovation of holding individuals responsible for violations of international law established international criminal law.
