Psalm 92:8-9 But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore. [9] For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

The enemies of God and the workers of iniquity mentioned above, both refers to mankind. When Adam disobeyed, this placed him (and by extension ...us) in an adversarial relationship with God. And here God makes clear his plan for his enemies. They will perish!!

Fast forward to the coming of Christ and we see how God desires to execute this. He desires for us to perish *in Christ*.

But doesn't scripture say? That God isn't willing that any should perish? Indeed it does: see 2 Pet 3:9. But it also says: it is appointed unto men, once to die (Heb 9:27).

We will all die, but *where* we do is critical. God doesn't want us to die *outside* of Christ. Because only those who die *in Christ*, are called blessed of God:

Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, *Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord* from henceforth:........

Only when we die in Jesus, can we live. Selah!
