Even As Sodom – The First Pride Celebration
(So Vile Part 2 - The Pride of the Sodomites Exposed)
Text: Gen. 19, Jude 1:7
Obj: that the brethren and other people be warned against this type of people
whom God himself hated, and do appropriate action to combat the sodomite agenda/deception
Intro:
Vile adj. 1a : morally despicable or abhorrent; b : physically repulsive : foul
2 : of little worth or account : common also : mean ; 3 : tending to degrade
4 : disgustingly or utterly bad : obnoxious, contemptible

Story of Sodom and Gommorah – and other five cities

We Need to Avoid, Oppose and Expose the Sodomites Because:
1. They Are Children of the Devil; 2. They Are Predators; 3. They Are Vile, debased dogs
What can we see in the First Pride Celebration:
1. The Lord through His Angels are watching – He knows what is happening
a. Chapter 18 – intro – 3 ‘men’, the Lord is one of them – other 2 – angels
b. “we will abide in the street all night” – v.1 – to know the state of the city? What is it like?
2. There are people who don’t care – just going about their own lives – v.3
a. Christians and non-Christians alike – we don’t care about their ‘celebration
3. There are Wicked Violence, Victimizing happening – vv. 4-9
a. “Special” days are used by those that celebrate it the way they want
b. It brings to bare about their true nature – wicked perverts – reprobates!
4. There are Compromises Done by the Weak Christians – vv. 7-8
a. We must fight the good fight of faith, not give in! 1Timothy 6:12, 2Timothy 4:7
5. There are Casualties – direct and indirectly responsible – vv. 14, 16, 26
a. Loved ones, wife, daughters
6. There is Destruction – vv. 13, 14, 29, 24, 25, 29 – the Lord will punish and judge!
a. Overthrew, rained upon, fire and brimstone – celebration with FIRE works

Message/conclusion:

Let us Avoid, Oppose and Expose the Sodomites and their agenda/deception.
