Judi is a goat who was born with neurological problems that made it impossible for her to walk or lead a normal life. Destined to be slaughtered and discarded soon after birth as if her life had no value she had not yet known the joy of sunshine on her face or running in a meadow. Miraculously she was found by Jennifer and Jim who run the Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas. She was taken home fed by hand and given a new chance at life. Judi required daily massages and rehabilitative therapy to keep her legs muscles from atrophying. The discomfort of taking even a few assisted steps in the early days left her exhausted and in need of a lot of TLC. But with consistent effort and a gradual increase in her exercise Judi learned to stand then to walk unaided. She saw the other animals running and she was eager to keep up.
