Assassin's Creed Valhalla- PS Update Causes Gear Removal?

A few frantic fans have alerted me to items, gear, and weapons being removed after the PlayStation update today...Is it possible that this was done accidentally somehow via the cloud or some data erasure? I personally am not having issues, nor is a few people I've talked to...but here are the details...
