Day 233🥩🏋️🔥 worked out again today, only my 3rd intense workout since starting carnivore diet, and it was great. I really enjoy the physical challenge of these and I’m super grateful that my body is able to keep up with my mind. I suffered from exercise intolerance for years and was unable to do this stuff so I’m super stoked
8:00am - 12oz homemade beef bone broth
10:15am - 0.5lb leftover grilled flap meat steak + 3 eggs scrambled with 1T ghee and salt
12:00pm - 2T cold kerrygold butter 1:45pm - 0.33lb gf beef patty (1) + 2T cold kerrygold butter
3:00pm - 2.5T cold kerrygold butter
5:00pm - WORKOUT
Strength - Back Squat build to heavy set of 8 reps. Haven't done a weighted squat in about 6 years so I focused on my form/mobility doing 6 sets of 8 reps at 125lbs
WOD - "Supper Time" AMRAP 20mins - start at 5 cal bike to start then 100m farmer carry w/ 50lbs. Every round on bike increase cals by original amount times 2 (5x2) so round 1 = 5cal round 2 = 15cal round 3 = 30cal round 4 = 50cal round 5 = 75cal round 6 = 105cal
I got up to round 6 and 20mins ended at 98cals total for me, did 2 rounds with 50lb dbs then decreased to 35lb dbs for rounds 3 to 5 because my grip was fatigued.
6:30pm 0.5lb oxtail meat + 0.45lb gf beef patties (1.5) with salt
I (Paul Woolley) am a father of 2 great boys, husband to 1 beautiful wife :), business owner that started carnivore diet to optimize my life, increase performance, and to lose some of that jiggley fat off my midsection. For the past few years, I thought the people that did carnivore and shared it online were influencers doing it to spite vegans and get clicks online, which is hilarious, but I'm now thinking that was not entirely true :) The reason I got started on this carnivore style of living is because one day while scrolling YouTube I ran across a JRE podcast where Joe Rogan asked Jordan B Peterson about what he's doing to have lost so much weight. Jordan shared his carnivore lifestyle and even shared some of his daughter Mikhaila Peterson story overcoming autoimmune issues on a strict version of this carnivore diet she calls the Lion Diet. I highly recommend you search both videos where they tell their stories. Next, I read The Carnivore Code by Dr. Paul Saladino to get the "how to" do this correctly. And during my daily lunch breaks I would watch videos by Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr. Shawn Baker, and Dr. Ken D Berry to learn more about how to do this effectively and here I am, down 57+lbs, sharing my carnivore diet transformation journey.
