1834 World Chess Championship [Match 3, Game 1] - Long Live The King
2 years ago
4
In this video, we go through the first game of the third 1834 match between Louis-Charles Mahé de La Bourdonnais and Alexander McDonnell.
This one is an epic and long battle between the two chess greats and features the King's Gambit opening.
Unfortunately, Paul Morphy was fired from his job with the New York Journal after the end of match two. We will therefore continue with the help of a guest commentator and a little bit of 21st century engine analysis.
