The official module builder for some of the Battlefield games in the series has given the game a powerful expansion. The expansions have reached their peak in Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2, with more than a hundred medium and large modules available for both games. Third-party-made modules contain new weapons, vehicles, maps and other elements, and even add new details to the setting and rules of the game, thus catering for players of all hobbies. With just one Battlefield game, players are able to experience different styles of warfare, from the Battle of Pfhor to science fiction warfare, and from strong entertainment to strong realism.
