I called a multifamily broker and told them I was a new investor and wanted to buy a deal.

Good question.

Real estate brokers in the multifamily space don’t like working with new investors since new investors do many stupid things.
They often don’t know the process and also have a bad tendency to waste the time of the seller. Probably during your call you said some things that showed the broker you were a new investor and he wanted to focus his time on experienced multifamily buyers that were likely to close.

It would be a good idea to get more education so you sound more knowledgeable on the phone when talking to multifamily brokers.

I offer education and training to landlords, engineers, doctors and dentists, and many others that would like to learn how to enjoy the benefits of multifamily as quickly as possible. If that sounds interesting contact my office by going to www.benjaminzmiller.com and fill out the contact form.

I hope that helps and good luck with your investing!
