Cardigan Welsh Corgi | CKC Breed Facts & Profile

There are two types of Welsh Corgi dogs: the Cardigan and the Pembroke. Some breed historians believe that Corgis came from Nordic and Spitz types, but others claim that Corgis are descendants of the Dachshund family. It has also been said that the two Welsh Corgi breeds come from completely different lineages. The Cardigan is believed to be the original Welsh Corgi from Cardiganshire.
