Over the years Clean Fuels Alliance America, formerly the National Biodiesel Board, has invested in research to continually improve biodiesel.

In this Episode, Steve Howell, an expert on biodiesel shares how the fuel has evolved and where it’s headed in the future.

“Over the years we’ve improved the standards significantly as the diesel engines have changed and as fuel has changed,” Howell says. “We changed to ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel in 2006 and when we did that change, we found we had to change the biodiesel and improve the biodiesel improve Its characteristics to make sure it’s still going to work well in diesel engines.”

Howell says when engines change the fuels changes, and the biodiesel standard improves. We are extremely proud of what the industry has done and how it’s grown.

Clean Fuels is wrapping up a 13-week content partnership with Brownfield where subject matter experts discuss growth of the industry and its impact on agriculture, the environment and energy diversification through a series of interviews that air across Brownfield Ag News networks.
