Similar to the arrows, its body consists of a jelly-like mass lined with one layer of cells on the outside and another on the inside.

A distinctive feature of the ctenophores is the "ridges" made of cilia used for swimming. The comb-like fish has no tentacles, but swims by grasping large prey with its mouth. Almost its entire body is a pharynx.
