Jews don't get a free ticket to heaven just because they're Jewish part 2

This is a conversation with a young Jewish guy who tried to tell me that the reason he is going to heaven is because he is Jewish. I can understand how many Jews who try their best to live righteously and obey all of God's commandments and are very religious think that they will go to heaven based upon their obedience to God and their Jewish faith but it surprises me that many Jews such as this guy think they are on their way to heaven when they are living in sin just like the rest of the world and are not truly zealous for God's commandments.

Matthew 8:10-13
10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. 11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

God speaks here in Isaiah 56 of the new covenant that would soon reveal the gospel dispensation and he talks about the Eunuchs or Gentiles that would be able to enter into God's covenant and become his people. I'm not saying anything against the Jewish people who I know have a special place in God's heart but notice that in verse 5 it says that God will give them a name and a place in his kingdom that is better than that of his Sons and Daughters!

Isaiah 56:1-7
Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice:
for my salvation is near to come,
and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this,
and the son of man that layeth hold on it;
that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it,
and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying,
The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people:
neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths,
and choose the things that please me,
and take hold of my covenant;
5 even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls
a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters:
I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Also the sons of the stranger,
that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him,
and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants,
every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it,
and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 even them will I bring to my holy mountain,
and make them joyful in my house of prayer:
their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar;
for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Romans 10:1-3
Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Romans 9:1-8
I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Romans 11:28
Rom 11:28  As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
