Prophetic Word: Anxiety

While I was praying, trying to understand the times, I recalled after years of isolation, a lesson:

*Absolute reliance on God*

Then in spirit, I felt a global anxiety taking place. Yes there are millions of causes for anxiety but the anxiety I’m discerning isn’t related to physical concerns of the world such as meeting our obligations on time, or showing up to our appointments, or impressing our love interest, or the heavy political and economic storms we are seeing.

As I was applying my introspective stethoscope on the body of anxiety, attempting to “understand it”, two bible verses came to mind.

1) For the turning away of the simple will slay them and the complacency of fools will destroy them. Prov :1::32

The bible teaches us not to rely on our own strength, nor understanding…”complacency” in this text isn’t the conventional meaning *I can do a little bit and I’m good enough to get by*, it means, you can have all the resources known to man, be the most disciplined person in the world but if you believe you’re sufficient in those things and can survive without God, you believe you’re good enough without God, and/or you believe you know “enough” about God- you’re being complacent.

Then I saw in spirit, like the Dagon statue fallen over before the ark of the Lord, the resources people have been relying on, and the spirit behind those resources, fallen over. In absolute disappointment there will be this great “spiritual” depression.
Those who don’t believe will attempt to find spiritual sources outside God to mend them. And those who believed in a false gospel, already deceived, turning away.
Just like the prophetic words from Joshua Shaw, there is this separating taking place. The stirring up isn’t bad, it will open the eyes of many, but their reliance on former things, and other spirits will betray them.

Those who have half hearted commitment will be tested as well. The anxiety is an opportunity for them to be all in or all out.

The collapsing system is a reflection of the spiritual strongholds collapsing or about to collapse.
The anxiety is a reflex, and reflection, of what secured our heart, now being exposed as fraudulent.

The second verse, to mend my anxious/worried heart, this verse comforted me. Not in a “it’s okay this will only hurt a little,” sort of way but in a “it will hurt, but pray and have faith.” Knowing that I will be heard and taken cared of. Also, not in just an emotional way either, but in a realistic tangible way. Just as sure as Jesus is coming back, we are taken care of.

We are to rely on God for all our needs. If your heart is troubled, let go of the security you find in temporary things, and go to God who knows what you need before you ask.

2) “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭:4:4-7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Heavenly Father, there is nothing you aren’t aware of. No thought can escape your ears, and no man can escape your sight. Everything is under your control, everything is under your hands. Lord, I commit my life (all the concerns regarding this life) into your hands. Guide me and lead me.
Thank you for your faithfulness.

In the name of Jesus, amen.
