“We will not be dictated to by people who went to harrow and Eton… Workers must show their muscle and bare their teeth at the Ruling class in this country… The trade unions must fight the Millionaires and the billionaires who think they can tell workers that we must forgo our wages… And we will tell the Labour Party and Mr Starmer (noone gets called Sir in the RMT) to sort it or or we will boot you out… ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”

The words of Mick Lynch, general secretary of the RMT on 26 August 2022

Then on 8th September 2022, RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said:

"RMT joins the whole nation in paying its respects to Queen Elizabeth.

"The planned railway strike action on 15 and 17 September is suspended.

"We express our deepest condolences to her family, friends and the country."

So which is it? Show tour muscle and bare your teeth to the ruling class? Or cringing before the monarchy?

If this is our national culture, it is one of hypocritical servility. British workers are destined to be wage slaves so long as they accept this kind of “leadership”.
