There are no scriptures supporting a Sunday sabbath (the 1st day of the week) Yeshua was crucified on a Wednesday (a high feast as Passover is not the same day every year) The Gospel of John says of the day beginning following Christ's death, "that sabbath day was a high day" (19:31–42). That night was Nisan 15, just after the first day of Passover week (Unleavened Bread) and an annual miqra and rest day, he Rose on the Saturday afternoon just before Sundown 72 hours later as the sign of Jonah. Hebrew days start at 6 and finsih at 6 not 12pm to 12pm( Matthew 12:40, Matthew 16,4 ) 72 hours Further, the statement “after three days” could mean to the Jewish mind “on the third day” since any part of that day was considered the third day (cf. Matt. 27:63-64).
