Hello guys! Today, I (finally) have the anticipated sequel to the most popular video of all time on my channel: "Cars 2 Opening but it's Team Sonic Racing!" Yes, after two long years, a sequel to Cars Opening but it's Team Sonic Racing is finally out! I've put off making this video for that long, I will admit, but I still saw your love for the first video and a few of you asking for a sequel. All of which eventually pressured me into finally falling through. I'm honestly glad this video is finally finished, but still, I'd like to thank you all so much for the love and support for the original video (that inspired this one). Without you and your support of the first video, I wouldn't be where I am today. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much... Anyways, I admittingly had a hard time figuring out what the story (in-universe) for this would be; especially in how I could keep it from ruining the original. What I came up with in the end was essentially a retelling of Episode Shadow from Sonic Forces (which you could tell with the opening Knuckles message, and the plot surrounding the Phantom Ruby). I hope some of you don't mind that (being essentially a copy of Forces)... Beyond that though, I tried my darndest to fill this with cute references and easter eggs; like the coordinates at the beginning (they actually lead to a real-life place! Check it out!)! Anyways, in terms of editing, it was quite challenging cropping the shots, moving the sounds into the right spots, "animating" @Ya Boy Evanolution's logo, and so on! Hopefully, it was all worth it (for you guys)! Oh, speaking of which, I got @Ya Boy Evanolution to make a new logo for this sequel. He is such a great guy to work with, and his logo art is phenomenal (as seen here)! So @Ya Boy Evanolution, thank you so much for helping me out with this (even if we have now gone our separate ways...)! Now originally, I started work on this video before my rebranding. So my original intro and outro are still in here. However, I decided on keeping them in (and adding a grainy film filter on top of them) as a way to sort of giving feelings of nostalgia. That and I'm a bit lazy... Hope you like that! But also, on top of the intro (in particular), I added music from another @Pixar movie; a track that fit the noir spy vibe. Hopefully, you'll pick up on that. Also, I've had my buddy @SuperSonicMikey compose a special theme song for Shadow that you'll hear a little bit at the end. You should definitely go listen to the full version by itself, but still, thank you @SuperSonicMikey for making such a banger of a track for this! It means a lot. Now unfortunately, I can't give you all the 4K version of this video you deserve. YouTube kept its uploading at a snail's pace. So this here is merely the 1080p version. I do hope you can forgive me for that... Anyways, I hope you enjoy this sequel to my most popular video ever (with all the work we put into it)!
