In Episode 39, Cat and I discuss the renewal of hostilities between the countries of Armenia and Azerbaijan, located in the southern part of the beautiful Caucasus mountains. We will give you a good background on the long history of this region, then bring you up to date on why there is conflict there to start with, as well as what is causing the problem today. This just may be the unknown war you haven't heard much about in the news in the US, but it could have some serious impacts on geopolitics in this historic and beautiful region.

** EDITOR'S NOTE: Early on and several times in this video we surmised Russia wouldn't be involved in this conflict as they're quite busy in Ukraine. Events are changing quickly, however, and the dynamics have changed overnight. Azerbaijan has launched artillery strikes on the deployment point of the border troops of the FSB of Russia in Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. The FSB forces in the region have returned fire. So we don't really know what to expect next at this point. I can't explain this.
