While it's challenging enough to be a silver investor, it's also interesting to think about all of the decisions that the operator of a silver company has to make.

Which includes not only understanding the geology, but also being in tune with the investors, the employees, the cycles of the market, and a whole lot more.

It's not an easy task, but in this conversation with Jorge Ganoza of Fortuna Silver, I asked him what it's like to run a silver company that has 5,000 employees, during a volatile market cycle where investor patience is often thinner than ever.

It was interesting to hear some of the different factors that he has to balance, and what goes into pulling it all off. As well as what he might have done differently if he had the chance to do it all over again.
