Lion is called the royal wild animal i.e. the king of the forest. But due to poachers, this animal is now on the endangered species list. Two of its species still survive - the African lion and the Asiatic lion. This lion is known as a charismatic animal to people. The bright, swift and extraordinarily beautiful animal king was chosen as their national animal by the British who once ruled the whole world. Even though Queen Victoria's empire has fallen, the charm of Pasuraj is still present today. Therefore, the use of this animal is often seen in the branding and advertising of various products around the world. On International Lion Day, know many unknown facts about the animal king.

Species of Lion - The lion is a member of the Felidae family, one of the large cats of the Panthera family. Two main subspecies of lions survive today. One is the African lion and the other is the Asiatic lion.

Lion's Roar Loudest - The lion's roar is the loudest of all felines. This roar is so loud that it can reach 114 decibels and can be heard from five miles away. The lion's vocal cords are quadrangular in shape and flattened. This is why they can make powerful roars with little effort.

A male lion eats 40 kg of meat a day - a female lion needs an average of five kg and a male lion seven kg of meat a day to survive. Studies have shown that they can eat much more meat than animals. A lioness can eat 25 kg of meat in a day and a lion can eat more than 40 kg of meat in one go.

Can run up to 50 miles per hour - The second fastest animal in the wild, the lion can run up to 50 miles per hour. But this fast speed is only for short distances. And for this reason, before pouncing on a prey, the animal king has to attack very closely.
