I tried 11 types of cat litter and they All SUCK!

Cats prefer naturally clumping UNSCENTED litter. Unfortunately, there is no perfect cat litter out there. This is what I use.

Cats prefer and deserve a clean bathroom. Just like you! So we should be picky about the cat litter we use.

Unfortunately, there are problems with every type of cat litter that exists.

I'm still hunting for the best. Until then, my current (2022) litter choice is below.

Naturally Fresh uses the walnut shells which are less likely to produce mold (vs the walnut itself).

They use food-grade clumping agents made from a bean. And they put odor-blocking enzymes in the litter.

Again, I'm not 100% pleased with it. But I think it's the best we have available.

Clay is the most popular cat litter that exists.

But mining for clay is not good for the environment. It's also not safe to breathe in and ingest.

Cats will inevitably ingest some litter when they groom! Clay is very sludgy and yucky when wet and extremely heavy too.

Starch-based litters like corn, cassava, and yuca are at risk for aflatoxin mold.

Breathing in wood dust regularly can cause cancer.

And breathing in crystalline silica can cause many health problems. Paper litter just turns to sawdust when wet, and it's usually non-clumping.

Cats prefer CLUMPING litter so you can remove the waste DAILY!
