SHOP WITH ME | FINDING RESALE BARGAINS | ANTIQUE VINTAGE | NEW STORE

I’ve got a show tomorrow, and I need some fun, fresh finds to draw antique and vintage collectors into my booth! Fortunately, a newly opened shop full of collectible goodies recently opened, so there’s fresh fields to pick.

Beneath the steeple of an old church, we open the door to a world of vintage delights, some of which I’ve never seen elsewhere! The smell of the old oaken whiskey barrel, the clunk of the lid of the antique towel steamer, even the sight of the signature on a 1980s sailboat mirror are fun reminders that a collector (and reseller’s) journey through the antique world is a life-long pursuit.

The enthusiasm is palpable as we meet some of the dealers and the owners of this recently opened vintage emporium, and we enjoy themed rooms of 1970s vintage (orange glass, avocado lamps and chairs, the whole feel!), cast iron collections and a hall of furniture. But our shopping begins in earnest when a parking meter, a 1930s truck sign and a 1940s car spotlight surface at big discounts to show retail prices!

Black light shopping (yes, there’s a lot that glows!), a close encounter with a bear and a room full of specialties make this a fun and profitable stop. This is a shop worth coming back to see, it’s surprising they’ve only been open a few months with such a big collection already in store!

Here are some of the other items we enjoy as we pick through this fun and varied antique and vintage venue:

Paper-mache bear head, vintage tin vehicles, head vase collection, shoe collection, Fenton painted and custard glass, depression and uranium green glass, resin grapes, tiered 1970s table, boat propellor, fish finder, tall oak 1910s ice box, primitive drafting desk, US Army dwell meter, driftwood, repurposed camp stove table, German and Austrian porcelain, Victorian oak sideboard, art nouveau etagere, Eastlake bed, convertible chaise lounge, Magnavox radio, Ozark roadside pottery planter, fish spear, wall phone, camp stove, Merry Mushroom canisters, swag lamp, banana seat bike, child's roll top desk, Candlewick glass, Manhattan glass, fairy lamps, terrier figural, Royal Bayreuth crab ware, model planes and trains, accordions, fireplace screen, McCoy Rustic tea set, McCoy frog, Hull Ebb Tide fish, fez, Shawnee miniatures, Blue Onion salt box, Metlox Rooster coffee pot, Jadeite Akro Agate doll dishes, etc.
