Jericho's raw and whole prey diet

Jericho's diet is 100% raw - ground raw and whole prey with healthy treats. This is exactly how I meal prep and feed my cat.

Of course, at the end of the day YOU have to decide what to do for YOUR cat.

But many people want to know exactly what I do for Jericho. So here we go...

MAIN MEALS

Jericho eats equal amounts of ground mouse and ground quail. I've found it's easiest to mix the chubs together and portion it that way (once your cat is fully transitioned).

He eats 4 oz of main meals daily, split between 3 meals.

I think it's better to portion out 1 meal per jar or 2 meals max per jar. That way you have a more precise serving size when you serve.

Plus, every time you open the jar, oxygen will come in and damage polyunsaturated fats.

Thaw the chubs 24 hours prior to portioning. Same goes for thawing your cat's meals.

ALWAYS THAW IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!

Do not leave the meat out on the counter to thaw at room temp!

TREATS

The whole prey and minnows are just less than 1 ounce of food.

Treats should not make up more than 10-15% of your cat's total daily intake.

Jericho's treats might be more than that. But I'm currently working my way up to adult whole prey so this is fine during the transition.

I'm still weaning Jericho onto these supplements. So right now he is not at the fully recommended dosage.

Always read the label and transition to new things SLOWLY!

Focus on ONE change at a time.

Cats are highly sensitive to changes. So switching foods/supplements too quickly can cause digestive issues.
