Our first week of training involved getting Jericho used to the clicker sound.

And we also want to associate the click sound with a yummy reward.

This is how your cat will learn to perform the command.

Our first week of clicker training focused on easy tasks.

First, we practiced tossing a treat and saying Jericho's name when he returned to me.

Next, we practiced with the clicker pointer wand. Jericho did not quite understand this at first.

But after one week he goes straight up to the pointer!

Last, we worked on the command "sit".

We will continue to work through Cat School's quick start guide.

My end goal is to train Jericho on a harness and leash and to return to the carrier on command.

I'm also using training as a bonding activity and for just in case of emergency.
