Can President Joe Biden prevent a massive railroad strike? The Majority Report crew discusses how two major railroad unions, which make up more than half of rail union participants, will strike for better working conditions as workers are subject to being. Fired for taking time off or taking a sick day. The crew talks about sick leave and benefits not being federally mandated and why that might be the case, referencing the Reagan Era. The crew also talks about inflation and the increasing price of housing, food, and medical care.

railway workers, it will impact Amtrak insofar as Amtrak rides on those same rails, and so Amtrak will still have service, but it will be greatly diminished because there won't be necessarily the same sort of workers working those rails. There are two unions that represent the majority of workers, there were multiple unions I guess- a dozen unions that were involved in this, and ten of them. I think basically had come to a deal but they will join these other two unions going on strike and that they're gonna join them because that two unions it seems so that they have the vast majority, right?
