Lena's Story: Treatment & Betrayal - A Story of Tragedy and Hope

Lena and her son tested positive for COVID-19 at the same time. Lena decided to treat herself at home with the help of her daughter. For a week she was ok, but then found herself incredibly tired, to the point where she could no longer lift her arms. Lena’s daughter sent an email to the Canadian Covid Care Alliance and she was able to get in touch with Dr. Ira Bernstein in Ontario.

Because Lena lives in BC, Dr. Bernstein was unable to prescribe her ivermectin, as it is banned in that province. He prescribed instead alternatives from the FLCCC protocol.

Lena recovered, but her son’s health was failing. He went to the hospital and upon arrival was given 19 medications. Lena’s son requested hospital protocol from the FLCCC but he was ignored, as were the family’s written request for the protocol to be used. On his fifth day in the hospital, he was put into the intensive care unit. His family was not allowed to visit him until he was put on a ventilator.

No informed consent was obtained for anything the hospital did, including drugs administered, intubation and a medically induced coma.

On the 21st day, a nurse informed the family that there was no hope. Lena said goodbye to her son and he passed away.

Dr. Bernstein’s office was later paid a visit by regulators, and he and other doctors have been investigated. “He (Dr. Bernstein) saved my life, and now he can’t save other peoples’ lives - that’s the tragedy. They are stopping him from saving lives.” Lena said of Dr. Bernstein.

All of Dr. Bernstein’s patients survived, and no patients he treated early ended up in the hospital.
