Scientists and researchers found that cats evolved from the Middle Eastern Wildcat.

Essentially, cats domesticated themselves once humans started farming.

The crops brought pests like rodents. And the rodents brought the cats.

This became a symbiotic, synanthropic relationship.

Researches concluded cats relied on humans for food. But not because the cats were eating human crops.

The cats ate the pests that the crops attracted.

Kibble vs evolutionary diet

The first main difference is moisture content.

Prey = 70-80% moisture
Kibble = ~10% moisture
