Apple Pie Biscuits
 8 frozen biscuits thawed and at room temperature
 1 21 oz can of apple pie filling (or fruit filling of choice)
 1 stick of unsalted butter, melted (do not use margarine)
 2/3 cup brown sugar
 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and nutmeg (or to taste)
Icing Ingredients:
 1 cup powdered sugar
 2-3 tablespoons of half & half (may use milk or whipping cream)
Instructions
 Grease your cast iron skillet or casserole dish. Put frozen biscuits in your skillet/casserole and cover with a dish towel or plastic wrap and allow your biscuits to thaw.
 Once your biscuits have thawed, preheat the oven to 350Β°F.
 Melt the butter in a bowl and set aside.
 In another bowl, stir together the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
 Dip each biscuit in the butter and dredge both sides of the biscuit in the brown sugar mixture and place the biscuit back in the skillet.
 Cut canned apples into smaller pieces and arrange over biscuits.
 Pour the remaining butter over biscuits and apples. Sprinkle remaining brown sugar mixture over the biscuits.
 Bake uncovered for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 5-10 minutes.
 While the biscuits are baking, mix together the powdered sugar and half and half to desired consistency. Drizzle on top of biscuits.
 Leftover biscuits can be stored on the countertop, tightly covered for 2-3 days.
