The family was young and active with the children's ages being 19-month-old twins up to 14 years old. Eight children in a 7-passenger van stuffed with duffle bags for each family member to go from Ohio to Arizona to Colorado and ending up in the unlikely destination of Kansas City, the last place Gary wanted to be.
