US benefits from European energy crisis

The US is a major exporter of liquefied natural gas, and will expect more income from its allies as it imposes sanctions against Russia.
Thus, Germany has just signed a 20-year contract with a major American gas supplier – one of the few options left for the EU while cutting ties with Moscow.
