BIG CRUISE NEWS DISNEY WONDER TO RESUME, FEMA CHARTERS, CARNIVAL CRUISE UPDATES AND MUCH MORE

Cruise News Update! First we talk about the Disney Wonder resuming operations with three- and four-night itineraries beginning Oct. 1, 2021 from San Diego, California. Three-night sailings will feature a stop at Ensenada, Mexico and a day at sea, while four-night sailings will feature two days at sea and a stop at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is said to be considering chartering a number of cruise ships to provide housing for emergency disaster relief workers in New Orleans following Hurricane Ida.

Next we learn that, Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line will charter the Grand Classica to Entergy Corporation to house front line workers in New Orleans. The ship is expected to sail to New Orleans immediately.

Carnival Cruise Line has announced the next round of details about additional ship restarts for November 2021 and beyond.

Carnival is also advising guests booked in November and December that it will continue to meet CDC’s standard of vaccinated cruises and that guests will need to present proof of both vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test at check-in. Guests will also be asked to wear masks in most indoor venues of the ship where people congregate.
