Media discussions and official interviews on the anniversary exposed how much more divided America is today than it was 21 years ago.

The U.S. radical left has been using the Queen’s death as an opportunity to bash the British Empire, saying she represented white supremacy and the evils of colonialism. Some are even publicly questioning why her death is being mourned. In the January 2022 Trumpet, editor in chief Gerald Flurry discussed the future of Britain after the Queen’s death, writing that this event “could further weaken and dissolve the already fading ties that once formed the greatest empire in history, the British Empire.”
