Soul Speak #60 - Self Love Is For Narcissists - A Commentary by Rene Gade

Just some random thoughts in response to a comment this morning.

Someone wrote: There is #selflove (#narcissists are good at). Then there is #love for Who one are, in #god , no #self credit.

I would like to probe that thought a little more deeply, if I may.
In my estimation, the narcissist acts from a place that is completely void of 'self love'. An empty place of not knowing who he is, a vacuum of insecurities.
He is a #narcissist , because he does not know how to love and credit his 'self' in a true and healthy way.

This idea that we should not heap any kind of love or credit upon our 'self', has been instilled in us from a #religious ideology of self-loathing . And it has caused a thinking pattern of what I call "the great divide" within our #soul . (#scripture makes mention of this in terms of 'breaking down the middle wall of partition. Eph 2:14)

This #psychological "great divide" shows itself again and again in our thinking that "God is over there, and I am here" and we are two distinct beings in separate locations - we do not think of ourselves as ONE with God, at least not at a deeper level.

Sure, we might pay lip service to that concept intellectually, but it hasn't sunk in deeply for most of us... that's why we still shy away from "giving our selves credit" for anything.

If we cannot give ourselves credit for anything, how exactly will we give credit to God? Follow me here please...

Where precisely is this God that we give credit to? Where are you sending your credit to? Does God have an address other than within your SELF? 🙂 Subconsciously, we are actually looking for an address that is separate from ourselves.
Do you see what I am asking? You and God are not separate beings, and if you love yourself and give yourself credit, you are loving God and giving God credit.
As long as we operate from "the great divide" mindset we will always be like a moped engine that sputters from too much carbon buildup in the muffler, never coming to full strength of expression... because we keep second guessing (doubting, questioning our value or worth) our 'self'. We should be running on Nitro fuel and light up the skies!
If we can try to understand this with our soul and not only with our mind, that will be the nitro propulsion needed to becoming the "express image of God" as your 'self'! #soulspeak #renegademusings #selfcare #selfesteem
