Cat crying because onions

Chopping onions is a tough task for anyone. I've tried different tricks/hacks but nothing seems to prevent me from crying.

And the chemical released doesn't just affect humans!

These cats happened to be in the room while their owners were cutting onions -- and they seemed very confused as to why their eyes started watering.
