Ever Make aGooey Butter Cake! How About with a Pound Cake Mix? What a showcase dessert with little effort! So easy and so very good! My recipes are always at the end of the description post. This recipe is in our Volume Three Cookbook.
Scroll Down to order and scroll further down for RECIPE. DO YOU REMEMBER that good old southern cooking? When I was growing up, my granny was my favorite cook. My mama was an amazing cook as well, but there was just something about being in granny’s kitchen. I have made it so easy for you to learn how to cook like my granny and mama did with cooking tutorials and cookbooks with great family recipes. Oh and no difficult to find or crazy ingredients! Just simple ingredients and really good food.
NOW FOR THIS FAMILY RECIPE:
GOOEY BUTTER CAKE
1ST LAYER:
2 EGGS
1 STICK BUTTER (ROOM TEMP)
1 POUND CAKE MIX (or Make Homemade Recipe in our Vol. 1 Cookbook and use half of the batter!)
Mix the ingredients above (2 eggs, cake mix, and butter). The batter will be sticky and thick. Spray a 8x10 or 9x9 Brownie Pan with Baking Spray. Using a spatula spread dough evenly across the bottom of the pan.
2nd LAYER:
2 EGGS
8 OZ. CREAM CHEESE (ROOM TEMP)
1 tsp. VANILLA EXTRACT
1 LB. POWDERED SUGAR (Reserve an 1/8 cup for garnish)
Cream 2 eggs, vanilla, & cream cheese until blended well. Add powdered sugar reserving a little for top of cake to garnish. Mix until creamy. Pour over the bottom layer in the pan. The pan will look full and that is ok. Bake for 15 min. at 300 degrees. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of cake and return to oven and bake 45 more minutes at 300 degrees! This will be a total cook time of 1 hour. Take out and eat warm or cold. Enjoy!

Today, our videos are in HD with more quality sound, and not only that I have learned so many tips from viewers just like YOU!
I really believe I am an even better cook thanks to you all and appreciate your encouragement. Being a YouTuber takes lots of patience, time, determination, thick skin and so much more, but the true joy comes from the stories from my viewers. Many of you mean so much to us.
