16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.
17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.
19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.
20 And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
21 So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:
22 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
Genesis 31:13 I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.
Genesis 35:9 And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him.

14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.
15 And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel.

Moses’ encounter with the Jacobs Pillar

Numbers 20:7 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
9 And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?
11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.
12 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
Exodus 17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel

Jeremiah and Baruch took the stone in 586 BC from Egypt to Spain then Cornwall Ireland
The Stone was taken to Scotland-Ireland in 350 BC. Tea Tiphi first Queen of Ireland
King Edward took it to England in 1296. In 1302 there was coronation chair built around the stone by King James. The UK and Scotland were united under King James at that time. Then on Christmas 1950 the stone was taken by Scottish nationalist Ion Hamilton and taken back to Scotland. Then on the 11th of April 1951 the stone was returned to the original place in Scotland where Scottish independence was proclaimed back in April of 1320. Then the stone was taken back to Westminster Abby where Queen Elisabeth was crowned the Queen in 1953. Then it was returned on Saint Andrews day in 1996 back to Scotland in Edinburg Castle. It was loaned to the UK for future coronations.
