Heads Up Pistol Reload

Reloading a pistol or even rifle without having to look down is valuable. It lets you continue monitoring threats and not lose situational awareness.
You need to maintain sufficient muzzle discipline and not have the firearm blocking your field of view, but being able to see what you are doing helps minimize mistakes as you see in the second half of the video.

Generally this technique is referred to as keeping the firearm in your workspace.

This general concept has been taught by many instructors, I first encountered it through a training course taught by Chris Costa and Travis Haley. It made lots of sense back then and I have yet to find any reason to change my opinion.

Please note, I am NOT presenting myself as an expert or instructor on this. The video just records what amounts to a few practice reps with a couple intentional errors to demonstrate how it can help. My form is hardly "perfect" and you should seek quality training from professionals to maximize your rifle and pistol skills.
