This is the first of a series of videos that we are creating from the San Antonio 110 Organization's 10th Annual 911 Memorial Climb event. This video begins at sunrise as the participants gather together at the base of the Tower of Americas in downtown San Antonio, then shows the release of the doves and the start of the climb by the firefighters, police and other participants. The Tower is nearly 750ft tall and the participants climbed the stairs, over 600ft to the Observation Deck level, where they exited the stairwell and began to descend via the 2nd stairwell.

Towards the end of the event, there were multiple firefighters and other participants who collapsed from the 90+ degree heat inside the stairwell and had to be helped to complete the descent. There was a line of volunteers willing to return backup the stairs to help their fellow participants, so many that they had to turn some away. Those volunteers took the elevators to the top, then descended until they found the stranded people.

Yellow Rose Drones was happy to participate in this ceremonial climb for the second year in a row and looks forward to being back again in 2023. Our thanks to Jeff Dillon for acting as our volunteer observer and additional videographer during the event.
