"I am fully invested in the EGO Battery Powered tools System as they have performed amazingly. Regular lawn and yard work is a weekly thing in Hawaii as everything just grows here!! My EGO batteries have held up exceptionally well over the years and have helped my EGO tools power thru our thick Zoysia lawns, dense tropical shrubbery and tropical trees and palms.

Altho I have 5 EGO batteries, I bought two 7.5 amp batteries to provide additional power backup with my new Nexus Power Station. The 7.5's are large, powerful and perfect for the Storm related blackouts we have here. I tested the new 7.5's on the Nexus Power Station and just the two of them ran my 25 cubic inch fridge for 8+ hours. I thought it would be too heavy for my String Trimmer but they actually made trimming easier as it balanced the tool.

And they last forever. I recently trimmed almost half a mile of grassy trails that I take my dogs on. It cut thru 2 feet tall cattle grass with no problem and the handy power gauge showed that the battery still held a 50% charge. I was able to mow, edge/trim my lawns without depleting the battery. The quick charger fully charged the battery in about an hour and it was ready to go. The 7.5 is a bit expensive upfront, but when you compare the cost to the price of gasoline for comparable workload, you come out way ahead with EGO batteries."
