Hermit Crabs as Pets Need to CLIMB UP!

Hermit crabs as pets need to climb UP! It's important to have elements in their habitat like driftwood, ladders, platforms and/or levels.

Hermit crabs are natural climbers in the wild, most especially Purple Pinchers (most common type of hermit crab pet). They can be found in trees and bushes, and climbing on rocks and cliffs! Hermit crab pet habitats that are too small won't provide the stimulation and activity they need including being able to climb UP!

We've been creating hermit crab habitats, terrariums and vivariums for decades... our Ikea Milsbo Hermit Crab Habitat Hack is our biggest hermit crab hack so far (the tall glass display hermit crab habitat in this video)!

We ONLY have Purple Pincher Hermit Crabs because they are the most resilient of all the hermit crabs. Most all of our hermit crab pets live past 20 years. We do not take them from the wild. Purple Pinchers are also known as Tree Crabs because when you see them on islands in the Florida Keys and in the Caribbean, they are found climbing all over trees and mangroves. They are natural explorers, climbers and scavengers and CRAVE lots of stimulation and wide variety of fresh healthy foods.

We are creating how-to content and videos to help inspire healthier, happier habitats for longer-living hermit crab pets. Please hit the subscribe and notification buttons so you know when we upload more videos!
