It's no secret that the Hyundai Seven Concept is a preview of the brand's upcoming Ionic 7 electric SUV. While the 7 Concept includes a fair share of show car kits, and the design largely mirrors that of its production counterpart.

In fact, both Simon Loasby, head of Hyundai's styling group and SangYup Lee, the brand's global head of design, led us to expect the Seven Concept's design to carry over to the Ionic 7 in the same way that the Hyundai 45 Concept did. This looks like a preview of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 from 2022. In other words, expect the Ionic 7 to look barely different from the Seven concepts.

The Seven Concept's high-mounted light bar serves as the vehicle's daytime running lights, while the lower-mounted units act as dipped and high beams. This setup is set to carry over to the stock Ionic 7, though Loasby notes that Hyundai added a flat, translucent cover to the mass of Pixel lights

While the Steria's light bar is divided into three sections (left, right and center), the concept of the seam is one continuous unit — a detail Loasby said he hopes will find its way into the Ionic 7's production.
