I was a pre-engineering student before switching to agri-business. which you know involves a lot of math science business courses. but you know if you go to a university they make you go to all the other departments and one of the courses I took was a history class oriented around women's history post-civil war in the united states. and I'd have to say that was a class I didn't know I needed to take. it definitely opened up my eyes and made me a far more well-rounded individual. and the fact that it's not something that you learn really in high school. and it's only exposed to people you know in a college classroom is kind of depressing. but at the same time, I think it really just speaks to you know being a more well-rounded and enlightened individual just generally makes people better. So I was just curious if any of you folks that have gone to university had any class that was, you know, like eye-opening that you know really kind of changed your world views or I guess perspectives at all or if you've always been correct? I remember reading that I was assigned Kyle Marx's German ideology in a 19th-century philosophy class. and this was during the financial crisis like 2008. And did I remember vividly those class periods and like it sort of been a bit eye-opening? but also what I remember even more was how it seemed dead. like no one's even thinking about this really. like this is like some guy. What strikes me is how relevant Marx has come over the last decade-plus since I've been out of college. but that was definitely it. There was another class in my English department after I had changed majors a few years later but that was literature and money. and we read a bunch of different stuff. We had like the jungle by Upton Sinclair. looking backward by Edward Bellamy. and also some iron that's where I read two Ayn rand books. a phone head and which is the other one. yeah. yeah. Atlas Shrugged is brutal to read. a very repetitive book.
