the nu doom games, while great games in their own rights, have been a disaster for the doom community at large. it has greatly revived the franchise as a whole and sky rocketed the series back into the mainstream. however. this newly rejuvenated fame has come with a hefty price. it has caught the attention of the woke activist that have plagued western civilization for the past 10 years, and much like with other communities both online and offline, have taken control over our beloved modding community, no longer can modders mod in peace without fear of being banned and blacklisted because some crossdressing freak who thinks they're a woman didn't like a certain edgy joke hidden deep in the code, or because your mod criticized far left political parties and countries such as china ,or antifa, tensions are only getting worse, the programmers of doom source ports such as GZDooM are more worried about adding more made up pronouns ,then actually optimizing the program so you don't need to use a high end gaming rig to get a decent frame rate on an almost 30 year old video game, any and all criticisms about GZDooM's optimization is met with hostility and accusations of having ties to the nazi party by the programmers. more and more people are quitting doom modding as a result of this new Orwellian ruling and the constant toxicity from our new quote on quote diverse and inclusive masters
