What is the Biblical Soaking Prayer?

Soaking prayer involves many things, but first, it is to enjoy quiet and rest in God's presence.

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10).

Many Christians want to know God and have a deeper relationship with Him. They want to see the glory of God among the Gentiles and want God to be exalted on earth, but we forget the first part of this verse.

- You stay still.

When we forget this, we lead to ourselves. The Lordship of Jesus becomes clear when we look to the Lord in silence. This principle of stillness and rest is found elsewhere in the Bible.

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. (Isaiah 30:15).

Our salvation is found through repentance and rest. We are accustomed to repentance, but we may not be accustomed to enjoying quiet rest.

Lay down your thoughts and stay quietly before the Lord. Do not leave your seat before the Lord speaks. The Lord wants to speak to you. I hope to enter the deeper presence of the Lord.

성경적인 Soaking 기도란 무엇인가요?

Soaking 기도는 여러가지를 포함하지만 먼저 잠잠히 하나님의 임재안에서 안식을 누리는 것입니다.

이르시기를 너희는 가만히 있어 내가 하나님 됨을 알지어다 내가 뭇 나라 중에서 높임을 받으리라 내가 세계 중에서 높임을 받으리라 하시도다 (시편46:10)

많은 그리스도인들은 하나님을 알고 그분과 더 깊은 관계를 맺기를 원합니다. 그들은 이방 사람들 가운데서 그분의 영광을 보기 원하며 그분이 땅에서 높아지길 바랍니다, 그러나 우리는 이 구절의 첫 부분을 잊어버립니다.

-너희는 가만히 있어.

이것을 잊어버리면, 우리는 자기 자신에게로 이끕니다. 예수님이 주인되심은 잠잠히 주님을 바라볼 때 명확해집니다. 이 고요함과 안식의 원리는 성서의 다른 곳에서 발견됩니다.

주 여호와 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이가 이같이 말씀하시되 너희가 돌이켜 조용히 있어야 구원을 얻을 것이요 잠잠하고 신뢰하여야 힘을 얻을 것이거늘 너희가 원하지 아니하고 (사30:15)

우리의 구원은 회개와 안식을 통해 발견됩니다. 우리는 회개에 익숙하지만, 잠잠히 안식을 누리는 것이 익숙하지 않을 수 있습니다.

나의 생각을 내려놓고 잠잠히 주님 앞에 머물러보십시요. 주님이 말씀하시기전에 자리를 떠나지 마십시요. 주님은 당신에게 말씀하시기 원하십니다. 더 깊은 주님의 임재로 들어가길 소망합니다.
