Alberta Proud is a grassroots advocacy group, fighting for every day, hardworking Albertans and our energy sector. We stand up to out-of-touch, elitist politicians and celebrities who get in the way of our prosperity with their anti-business, anti-resource ideologies.
We are proud of this province and the people who make it all happen. We believe Alberta has a distinct identity, based on our western roots and entrepreneurial spirit, and our job is to be the voice for the countless Albertans who want to protect and preserve our identity and way of life.
Through our powerful social network that reaches millions each week, we run campaigns that get Albertans riled up and grab the attention of those who make the decisions that impact our lives and livelihoods.
Recent campaigns include telling Ottawa to back down from trying to put surgeon general-style warning labels on our ground beef and pork; pushing for a better deal for Alberta and taking the stand that as long as Quebec blocks our pipelines and expropriates our companies, it’s time to turn off the trade taps; and telling the Trudeau government to back off our farmers with their ridiculous plans to reduce nitrogen emissions by 30% by 2030, equating to a fertilizer reduction for our ag sector that will result in a crop supply shortage and massive financial consequences for that sector.
We stand with our farmers/ranchers, our resource sector workers and all Albertans who love this province the way we do. Join us on all social media platforms, including our Facebook following of over 210,000 people who aren’t afraid to get loud about being Alberta Proud!

Lindsay Wilson
A journalist by trade, Lindsay is an award-winning reporter who spent a decade working in Alberta weekly newspapers before embracing her passion for politics and switching gears.
After spending two years on the Calgary mayoral campaign with Jeromy Farkas, Lindsay missed the more objective lens of journalism and has found a middle ground with her role as president and spokesperson of Alberta Proud, part of the Canada Strong & Proud network.
With one of the largest social media followings in the province, Alberta Proud is a grassroots advocacy group that stands up for everyday Albertans and supports ideals and political candidates who are pro-business and pro-resource. Her goal is to elevate Alberta Proud to doing more reporter-style videos that tell the incredible story of Albertans and the political landscape that impacts them.
She credits her passion for storytelling to her mentor, the late Alberta newspaper mogul Jack Tennant, and countless hours in coffee shops conducting interviews. Her love of politics began with her own late mother’s story as a refugee from communism in Eastern Europe in the 60s. Through her years in newspapers, Lindsay emceed and moderated political events and debates and covered all three levels of elections, as well as First Nations elections in Stoney Nakoda.
Growing up on a cattle ranch, Lindsay has also spent many years running a construction company and is a mother of three.
Lindsay is a graduate of the Mount Royal post-grad journalism program with an English/Communications undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary.
