I was in West Palm Beach, Florida, spending a night out to dinner and club hopping with my best friend, who was a “recovering” drug addict. Probably not the best idea in hindsight. We got on this trolley to go from one area of town to another, and at a stop a man walked into the front of the trolley and I instantly made eye contact with him. He looked like your average military type white guy, built, t-shirt & pants with a backpack on and a high & tight haircut. He walked down the aisle of the trolley and never touched a person, and he weaved in and around people. I watched him the whole way and as he drew nearer I noticed he had the coldest dead eyes I had ever seen, and I instantly became chilled to the bone and terrified. He walked past me, looking me straight in the eyes and placed his hand ever so slightly on my friend's shoulder and walked past him and straight out the back door of the trolley. He didn’t ride it at all. Later that night, my friend died of an overdose. Did I meet death?
