Depopulation and Infertility

They say if we don't learn from history we are "doomed" to make the same mistakes. Why can't people see what's going on? That's a rhetorical question but it requires a very complex and multifaceted solution and answer. Why do we trust the very institutions that we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have lied to us and have the worst intentions for humanity possible?
