How to start reading the Bible!

Hey! I’m Camille! I started reading the Bible at 12 years old but at 22 years old I got serious about it - I started reading or listening through the Bible on a year long Bible plan on the @YouVersion Bible app & it changed my life!

I encourage everyone to get on a year long Bible plan! It will change your life, & increase your joy & peace! While you read ask the Lord to reveal to your spirit what His word means & ask the Lord to reveal Himself more to you!

If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, ask Him today - it’s not a special prayer in particular, but it’s a commitment that you are going to live your life for Him, turn from sin & follow Him.

The Bible says in Romans 10:9 - “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

So put your trust in Him today & watch the miracle your life turns into!

Pray this:

Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the son of God. I ask you to become my Lord & savior. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins & I give my life to you today. Holy Spirit, come live inside of me and lead me into all truth. I surrender my life to you from this day forward. Forgive me of my sins and make me new. I receive your forgiveness and reject all guilt and shame from the past that the devil would try to put on me. I love you Lord, in Jesus name. Amen”

If you prayed rant & meant it - wow, I’m excited for you! Get into a great church that teaches the Bible, the gifts of the spirit, and start reading the Bible daily!

Ask God what in your life isn’t holy & get rid of it - bad media, music, friends, sexual sin, whatever convicts your spirit. Get godly council like a pastor or a mentor who you know knows the Lord & watch how your life starts to blossom!
