​David Gillis has taught numerous financial wellness classes and webinars. He has also assisted individuals on a one-on-one basis that are living paycheck to paycheck as well as individuals that are living a financially independent life. He feels that his personal journey in life and the experience that he gained through volunteering has led him to form Spark Financial Wellness to show people they aren’t alone in their desire for financial wellness.

David holds a master's degree in Information Resource Management and retired from the Air Force in 2014 and lives in Papillion, Nebraska with his wife, Dena, and daughter, Katy. He enjoys volunteering his time with various organizations including ChooseFI Nebraska, a community organization dedicated to financial independence, as well as Toastmasters and TEDxOmaha through which he has had the privilege of mentoring and coaching speakers as part of his role as a board member.
