Springtails - You Might Have Thousands Of Them And Not Know It

Springtails are tiny insects that eat decaying plant matter. They are so tiny that you could have thousands of them and not even know it. I usually only notice them when they are floating in water. They can sometimes be seen on top of snow. That is how they got the nickname....snow flea.
